VIP Lounges
Airport host 3 VIP lounges at the T3 departure area and 1 VIP lounge at T3 arrival area. It also facilitates 2 VIP lounges at check in area , 1 at security hold area and 2 at arrival area of T1.

As part of CIAL’s endeavour to improve the passenger experience & the airport service quality, a self-bag drop facility is provided in Terminal-1. The facility will help the passengers to drop the check-in bags on the conveyors themselves without any airline personnel assistance. The passengers can take the boarding pass print out & bag tag print out from the CUSS (Common Use Self-Service) kiosks. CIAL already has 10 CUSS kiosks. After attaching the bag tag, the passengers can proceed to the self-bag drop facility & drop the bags in it.

The bag drop solution implemented is a retrofit solution. The retrofit type self bag drop helps the same check-in counter to be used in a normal way & also as a self-bag drop-enabled counter. The advanced feature module of the self bag drop system will help to automatically carry out bag tag scanning by the system instead of the passenger manually scanning each bag tag. CIAL has currently implemented 4 numbers of self bag drop systems at check-in counters 27 to 30. SITA’s Scan & Fly D Model with Scan Arch module manufactured in Canada is implemented. The same model is implemented in Seoul, South Korea also. The system is integrated with the Baggage Handling system of CIAL. CIAL is the second airport in the country to have a self-bag drop facility. Currently, the facility can be used by the passengers of Air Asia, Go Air and Air India.

CIAL is currently offering export pet services through our cargo facility. This means you can safely and securely fly your pet to their new destination from Cochin Airport. Domestic Terminal (T1)

The medical room at our domestic terminal (T1) offers a comprehensive 24x7 medical service, facilitated by two well-equipped medical rooms for easy accessibility. Each of these medical rooms is fully stocked with necessary medications and emergency equipment such as ECG machines, oxygen support, and cardiac beds, all of which are provided free of cost to anyone in need.

A dedicated team of doctors and staff are always on hand to consult with individuals in need of medical assistance, regardless of their location within the airport premises. In the event that further treatment is required, our ambulance facility is available on standby to transport patients to nearby medical facilities.

  • Trained and experienced doctors and nursing staff for medical assistance available 24*7.
  • Highly competent Emergency medical technicians are available in all CIAL ambulances that are on standby at multiple locations within the airport.

  • All emergency (medical and surgical) services are being provided round the clock for all passengers (arrival and departure), staff and visitors at all sites including the city side, within the terminal, airside, and inside the aircraft if required.
  • General Outpatient care is also provided for common Medical problems 24 x 7.
  • Depending on the location of the emergency, the Rapid response team consisting of a doctor and nurses along with an emergency kit can reach the site of emergency instantly to provide appropriate treatment.
  • Portable oxygen assistance
  • Airway and resuscitation assistance including laryngoscope, Endotracheal tube, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Artificial Mandatory Breathing Unit (ambu bag) etc.
  • Portable ECG, Cardiac monitors and Cardoverter-defibrillators
  • IV equipments and fluids, Nebulisation kit and medication
  • Adequate dressing and immobiliser materials including splints, cotton gauze, bandages and plasters.
  • All emergency and essential medicines both tablets and injections.
  • After providing the first aid / initial treatment patient can be observed for a brief period of time inside the MI room. In case specialised care is necessary, the patient is immediately referred to nearby hospital in the emergency ambulance that are on standby at multiple locations within the airport. Patients will be accompanied by the trained emergency medical technician or in dire emergencies by the doctor on the way to the referral hospital.
  • Guidance regarding travel for patients with Medical problems.
  • Support for Breath Analysis of crew and staff, if needed.
