TENDER FOR OPERATING SNACK BAR AT INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE CITYSIDE AREA OF COCHIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LIMITED
1 Tenders are invited on behalf of Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) for the license for operating One snack bar at the International Departure Cityside area of Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery Ernakulam, District Kerala.
2 The license is a revenue share arrangement whereby the Bidder shall pay a 20% of gross monthly turnover to CIAL subject to a minimum guaranteed monthly amount as quoted by the Bidder in the bid form. License for operating the snack bar will be allotted to the bidder who quotes the highest monthly license fee amount to CIAL.
3 CIAL shall fix the maximum selling rates for a few items as specified in the tender document for snack bar. The Bidder shall offer these rates to the public and employees working at CIAL.
- The tenure of License will be for 3 (Three) years.
- The Successful agency will be provided 150 sq ft for snack bar and approximately 150 sq ft for seating at the location.
6. Eligibility criteria:-
The following agencies will be eligible to participate in the tenders;
- Agencies having at least 2 years’ experience in operating a Snack bar/ Food court/Restaurants with a Turnover of not less than Rs.2 Crores from Food & beverage operations in any one of the preceding 5 years is required.
- Should have GST registration and PAN.
- The tender documents shall be issued to eligible agencies from the office of General Manager (Commercial) on payment of Rs. 2360/-, towards cost of Tender Documents in cash or by Demand Draft favouring CIAL payable at Ernakulam / Nedumbassery till 27th June 2024.
- The tender shall be accompanied by an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five lakhs only) in the form of Demand Draft favoring “Cochin International Airport Limited” payable at Ernakulam/ Nedumbassery. EMD may also be remitted by bank transfer
- The Bidder shall pay a revenue share of 20% of their gross turnover subject to a minimum guaranteed monthly license fee to be quoted in the bid form. The minimum Bid amount for the outlet in the International departure cityside area will be Rs 3,00,000/- per month. The bidders shall quote in excess of this. The successful bidder shall pay every month either 20% of their Turnover from the outlet or the minimum guaranteed monthly license fee quoted, whichever is higher.
- The monthly License fee quoted shall be subject to an annual compound escalation of 10% per year for each subsequent year of operation.
- In the event of making provisional allotment, the successful bidder shall deposit with CIAL, an amount equivalent to ten (10) times the monthly License fee quoted for first year as interest free security deposit for the faithful performance of the terms and conditions of the License agreement to be entered into with CIAL. 25 % of the security deposit should be in the form of Bank Transfer or Demand Draft favouring “Cochin International Airport Limited”, payable at Ernakulam and the balance in the form of Bank Guarantee.
- Electricity at one point shall be provided in the snack bar area. Water and drainage will not be provided for the snack bar.
- Only Bare space will be provided by CIAL for the Snack Bar. The successful bidders shall develop the snack bar and associated facilities at their cost after obtaining written approval from, CIAL for the design and layout.
- The Bidder shall at his own cost make provision for: -
- Counter set up
- Electrical Fittings
- Energy Conservation measures
- Waste segregation and disposal arrangements on their cost
- Tenders have to be submitted on or before 1500 hrs on 28th June 2024 and tenders will be opened at 1530 hrs on the same day.
