TENDER FOR CONTRACT TO SUPPLY OF COMPOSTABLE GARBBAGE BAGS FOR CIAL
- Tenders are invited on behalf of Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) from manufactures of Compostable Garbage bags with production facility in kerala with valid certification of Kerala State Pollution Control Board and GST registration. Eligible agencies for award of contract to supply of compostable garbage bags for CIAL for a period of 1 year from the date of Initial purchase order. The tender forms will be available in Commercial Department, 1st Floor, Domestic Terminal Building, Cochin International Airport Ltd., on payment of Rs. 590/- by bank transfer/in the form of Demand draft in favouring of Cochin International Airport Ltd., payable at Ernakulam/Nedumbassery and will be issued upto 1400 hrs on 29.03.2023.
2. The tenderer has to quote for the rate per bag as per the specification mentioned in the tender document. The rate quoted should be firm and should be inclusive of Insurance, any other levies applicable, freight, loading, unloading etc. and delivery at CIAL’s stores in 1st floor of T1 arrival of Cochin International Airport Nedumbassery and exclusive of GST.
3. The tender is to be accompanied by an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs. 100000,/- (Rupees One Lakh only) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Cochin International Airport Limited, payable at Ernakulam/Nedumbassery. The tender without the required EMD will be summarily rejected. CIAL shall return the Earnest Money without any interest to every unsuccessful tenderer.
4. Tenders are to be submitted by 1500 hrs on 29th March 2023 to the office of General Manager (Commercial), Cochin International Airport Limited, Kochi Airport P.O, Ernakulam – 683111.
5. After scrutiny of the technical bids, the financial bid shall be opened two days after opening of the technical bids and which will be intimated to qualified bidders.
6 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
6.1 To be Eligible to participate in this tender, the bidder should meet the following criteria: -
a) Should be a Manufacturer of Compostable garbage bags with production facility in Kerala with valid certification of Kerala State Pollution Control Board and GST registration.
b) Experience of at least two years in manufacturing and supply of compostable garbage bags. Certificate from client to be attached.
c) The compostable plastic product shall have a valid license from Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
d) A written confirmation on letter head stating that
i. The product shall bear the title “this is a purely compostable plastic product written in English and Malayalam.
ii. The product shall dissolve in Dichloromethane (Methylene dichloride) and this shall be indicated in the packaging bag/cover/sheet material in English and Malayalam.

e. The bidder must have valid Kerala GST registration.
f. The bidder shall possess a valid quality check Certificate from CIPET.
6.2 Client Purchase orders and Client certificate and Copies of invoice to clients shall be submitted in Envelope “A”.
7. SCOPE OF SERVICE & GENERAL CONDITIONS
7.1 The tenderer has to quote for the rate per bag as per the specification mentioned below:-
a. Standard: ISO 17088 certified 100% compostable material
b. Size : 30”W X 50”H
c. Material : 50 Microns & bag can carry upto 15 Kgs
d. Colour: Green
e. Approximate annual requirement-200,000 nos
